Continuing from the recent trend in 2017, on the 5th January 2018 as US Navy P-8 Poseidon visited Luqa again to conduct a series of visual approaches and touch and go’s. The aircraft, serial 169003, came at around 13:30 pm and spent around an hour conducting touch and go’s on runway 31. The aircraft had visited the island before on multiple occasions, however it always came right after sunset, making photography difficult.
